James McAshley “Mack” Dekle, age 83, of Shelbyville, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at his home.

Born October 16, 1942, Mack was the son of the late James Rushian Dekle and Ocie Thomas Dekle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Michael Dekle. He is survived by this sister, Beth (Edward) Tolley of Athens, GA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Per his request, Mack chose cremation and no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walking Horse Trainers Legal Fund by mail: P.O. Box 61 Shelbyville, TN 37162.
