The Upper Cumberland Walking Horse Association recently donated $1,500 to both the industry legal and lobbying fund.  The monies were raised and donated as part of the 52nd Annual Upper Cumberland Walking Horse High Point Show.  The UCWHA chose to charge the $15 extra per entry fee to go to the lobbying fund and added to that fee from their association to get to the even $1,500 donation.

The UCWHA also made a donation to the industry legal fund in an equal $1,500 amount.  The industry remains active in lawsuits to protect the show horse and due process concerns for owners, exhibitors and trainers.   UCWHA Vice President Rod Slagle and board member and show manager Jamie Hillis presented the checks to Kasey Kesselring, president of the Foundation for the Advancement and Support of the Tennessee Walking Show Horse (FAST).

The UCWHA supports the legal and lobbying efforts and results achieved thus far and understands the challenges that still lie ahead for the industry.
