Obituary – Susan Collins Tesone

Susan Rae Collins Tesone passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 48 in Gainesville, Georgia. Born on June 7, 1976, Susan leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories.
Susan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Estil A. Collins and Amanda “Mandy” Jane Collins both of Compton Mountain, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Burl Blankenship and Gracie Jones Blankenship both of Stacy, Virginia.
Susan is survived by her loving parents, Curtis Ray Collins and June Collins both of Pilgrims Knob, Virginia; her sister, Beth Collins-Showalter and husband, Jonathon of Staunton, Virginia; husband, Neil; and her beloved children, Alexis and Noah. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, 2:00 P.M. at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel, Slate Creek Road, Grundy, Virginia, with Dennis Wimmer and Hobert Kennedy officiating. The family will begin receiving friends and visitors at 1:00 P.M. with a small Christian service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers her parents are asking that contributions be made to the Mental Health Foundation in memory of Susan.
The family thanks the Virginia Funeral Home for assisting in this memorial service. Susan was cremated by Ingram Funeral Home in Gainesville, Georgia by her husband, Neil Tesone.
