Nashville Sounds host Tennessee Walking Horse Industry

The Nashville Sounds hosted a “Derby Day” event Saturday, May 4, in honor of the Kentucky Derby being held the same day. While they “Ran for the Roses” in Kentucky, gameday visitors were also celebrating the official State horse at the Nashville Sounds game– the Tennessee Walking Horse.

On Monday April 29, 2024, the United States Department of Agriculture released publicly on its web site the final rule that will go into effect on February 1, 2025. The current show season will not be affected by this new rule.

WHTA donates to Tony Rice Center

The Walking Horse Trainers’ Association held their 56th Annual National Trainers’ Show on March 13-16, 2024, at the Cooper Steel Arena in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Each year, the WHTA Horse Show Committee selects a charity. This year, the Tony Rice Center was chosen.
