Thursday, November 6, 2025

Night Twister was laid to rest on November 5, 2025, at the age of 27. Sired by Pusher’s Twist A Bout and out of Sweet Crowder Lue, he was purchased as a two-year-old by Ann Bailey and began his show career under the guidance of Ann and trainer Steve Aymett. He was later shown throughout his accomplished career by Ann, her daughter Dru McCormick, and trainer and son-in-law Mickey McCormick.
Throughout his show career, Night Twister earned numerous accolades and memorable moments in the ring. Among his many achievements, he captured a World Championship in 2004 with Dru McCormick in the Trainers’ Auxiliary Class. His record also included wins at the Trainers’ Show, The International, and the Southern Championships, among others—each one a testament to his natural talent.
After retiring following the 2007 show season, Night Twister enjoyed a well-deserved retirement surrounded by the family who loved him most. His legacy lives on through their memories and the many who admired his brilliance in and out of the show ring.
