The Walking Horse Report has learned of the passing of Caroline Cross of Franklin, Tennessee. Cross passed away Sunday, November 1.
Cross and her husband, J.W. Cross, were instrumental in the formation of the Walking Horse Owners Association and the International Grand Championship. Their contributions played an important role in the development and growth of both within the Tennessee Walking Horse industry.
Visitation will be held Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Church of Christ, located at 1056 Lewisburg Pike in Franklin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Heritage Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Heritage Church of Christ, 1056 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN 37064, or the Leadership Franklin-Caroline Cross Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 682404, Franklin, TN 37068.
